Bernard Gueit’s journey into photography was orchestrated from young. The very first flare of a flashlight was enough, all those years ago, to sustain his lifelong passion in photography. His family and friends witnessed his budding passion and knew Bernard was unto something when he started taking control at family gatherings for the obligatory group shot.
His passion knew no bounds even tearing up the family bathroom to remodel it into his personal darkroom so that he could work all hours.
He studied film, photography and lighting and continues to learn and observe and adjust his approach, saying, “photography is lifelong learning - you never stop discovering new things.”
Legendary photography masters, nature and a pinch from music videos of the 70s, 80s and 90s inspire Bernard’s work. His passion, eye for detail, hard work ethic and pleasant disposition make him not only the ideal collaborator but also the perfect conjuror for any vision.
Andrew Gueit knew it was pointless to try to fight the drawing bug when he took to pausing computer and television screens to trace things. His curiosity for lines, curves and colour naturally led to his plunge into graphics.
His love of illustration is a testament to the numerous filled-to-the-brim sketchbooks that litter his room. He does not discriminate in the form of art he likes but has a sweet spot for character sketching, Japanese illustration, street art and animation.
Armed with this passion and up-to-the-minute knowledge on all things digital and creative arts Andrew delivers precision post-production results. His invisible hand is in every image Bernard Gueit Studios produces and he continues to grow and expand the digital arts capacity within the company.
His jovial personality, coupled with a sound background in management makes him the ideal yin to Bernard’s yang leading the brothers to continue to produce creative magic together.
